Technical Partnership with Sciences Computers Consultants

News release2026.03.25

Sciences Computers Consultants (“SCC”, Head Office: Saint-Étienne, France) and Technovel Corporation (“Technovel”, Head Office: Osaka, Japan) have reached an agreement and concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) March 2026 to establish a cooperative framework with the objective of promoting the adoption of Ludovic software in the Japanese market.

Ludovic is a numerical simulation software designed for co-rotating twin-screw extrusion processes. Based on screw configuration, operating conditions, and material properties, it analyzes material behavior inside the extruder. The software predicts key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and residence time along the screw axis, enabling a deeper understanding of mixing and melting phenomena. Furthermore, by utilizing a computationally efficient one-dimensional (1D) model, Ludovic allows users to efficiently perform process design, screw optimization, and scale-up studies.

Under this cooperation, Technovel will act as SCC’s technical partner in Japan and will promote market development and dissemination of simulation technologies through its website and various communication channels. Through this initiative, both companies aim to contribute to the advancement of extrusion processes and the wider adoption of simulation technologies, creating new value in the Japanese market.
